Practically imperfect in every way. Start with a lot of silliness. Mix in some insecurities and a handful of awkwardness. Add a pound of naivety, innocence, and child-like wonderings. Blend well. Half-bake and top off with a sprinkle of imagination and dollop of dreams. It’s the recipe for me!

You know Christmas is coming soon when you start to see holiday versions of various products. I am a sucker for those specially boxed crackers and cookies that come out every year. I mean, crackers are good, but they’re even better when they are shaped like snowflakes.
Some of the companies don’t even change the product. They change only the box. The Keebler elves added glitter and red and white stripes to a few of their boxes, but the crackers are their same old shape. I’ll probably still buy ‘em.
And OF COURSE I’ll get some of those festive candies that I probably won’t eat. Something about green and red foil makes Hershey’s Kisses irresistable to me. Oh, and don’t forget green and red M&Ms.
Then there are those tins of butter cookies. I love the butter cookies.
I’m such a sucker for marketing.
You know what I saw an ad for yesterday? Pepsi: Holiday Spice!!! If that isn’t the most bizarre thing I’ve ever seen, I don’t know what is. If you break down and try this, please, please, please let me know how it is.
P.S. Pepsi is a SODA!
Okay, I left you a comment on Friday, and I know that as soon as I hit “Publish Your Comment,” that comment will show up too, and I’ll look stupid for having two comments which say the same thing. Oh well.
If you like to try such products, please, please, please try Pepsi Holiday Spice. I cannot imagine “holiday spice” in a soda, and honestly, I’m a little scared. So I await your full report
Aha! I KNEW IT!!!!!!
LOL…you know I saw that Pepsi Holiday Spice thing too…I was like, “OMG…how many Pepsi’s are they gonna have?” Cuz I remember way back, a long time ago, that they made Pepsi Clear. It was Pepsi that looked like Sprite and it was so good too, but no one remembers it.
But back to Christmasy things…I’m a sucker for that Starbucks Peppermint Hot Chocolate and for those Tollhouse chocolate chip cookies with the red and green sprinkles.
Oz - I saw the new Pepsi too, but I hadn’t planned on trying it because, well, it just sounded kinda icky. But for you, I will give it a try. Report to follow soon.
D.T. - I like cookies that I don’t have to bake myself. My mother-in-law used to make all the holiday treats we could possibly want, but since she just recently moved down to Florida, I may have to break down and make something myself. I’ll probably just get those sugar cookies with the Christmas shapes inside. You know, the ones you open, slice, and bake.
It’s the spark of an idea that hits me unexpectedly. It’s the silly wonderings I have after a whirlwind of thoughts. It’s about creativity, inspiration, and imagination. But sometimes, it’s just about eating noodles.
