Practically imperfect in every way. Start with a lot of silliness. Mix in some insecurities and a handful of awkwardness. Add a pound of naivety, innocence, and child-like wonderings. Blend well. Half-bake and top off with a sprinkle of imagination and dollop of dreams. It’s the recipe for me!

And I believe that our education like, such as South Africa, and, the Iraq, everywhere like such as. And I believe that they should, our education over here in the U.S. should help the U.S., or should help South Africa, and should help the Iraq and the Asian countries, so we will be able to build up our future for our children."

When I first started blogging last June, I happened to stumble across a very cool blog by a guy named Dan who was blogging about his efforts to open an independent movie theatre in Springfield, Missouri. The progess has been FAST! In less than a year, he and his wife Nicole found investors, secured loans, renovated a building, and turned their dream into a reality. Springfield will soon be welcoming its newest resident, The Moxie. Recently however, there has been a slight snag in their plans. The renovation has eaten into the budget for the concession stand (which is cleverly named the Cinebar.)
So Dan and Nicole did what any other young-couple-who-risked-everything-for-their-dream would do. They decided to auction the right to name their Cinebar for one year! It’s a cool, quirky idea that, I think, is a perfect fit for The Moxie.
The bid is over $700 already, but you can still help Dan and Nicole by choosing to watch it by clicking the link in the upper right corner. I’m told that if the auction gets enough watchers, it will go on a list of popular auctions. And that can only be a good thing for them!
If you haven’t already, check out The Moxie blog and the auction on eBay. And if you’re a resident of the Springfield area, be sure to check out the The Moxie soon!
I like seeing these posts in everyone’s blogs. Gives a good sense of a community of bloggers pulling together to help out a friend, only problem being that we all read eachother’s blogs, and all know about it already! Ah well, it’s the thought that counts, right?
Either way… a most excellent post.
It’s the spark of an idea that hits me unexpectedly. It’s the silly wonderings I have after a whirlwind of thoughts. It’s about creativity, inspiration, and imagination. But sometimes, it’s just about eating noodles.
