about me

Practically imperfect in every way. Start with a lot of silliness. Mix in some insecurities and a handful of awkwardness. Add a pound of naivety, innocence, and child-like wonderings. Blend well. Half-bake and top off with a sprinkle of imagination and dollop of dreams. It’s the recipe for me!

And I believe that they should, our education over here in the U.S. should help the U.S., or should help South Africa, and should help the Iraq and the Asian countries, so we will be able to build up our future for our children."

Doesn’t play well with others

May 29, 2006

It’s been a while since I’ve posted here. Let me tell you why.

I found a new host for my site on May 20. One day after my last entry. Though I was happy with my previous host, they weren’t able to deliver the speed I needed for my new ecommerce website. The new one is SUPER fast. Which is good. Unfortunately, my new host and Blogger don’t work well together for reasons only the two of them understand. And, of course, each blames the other for the (literal) lack of communication.

I just now found something that worked, though I haven’t figured out how to make my sidebar blogs work within my main blog. But I’m not too worried about that right now. For the time being, I will remain with Blogger. However, I’m more than a little disappointed with the way they’ve handled my queries, so I may be switching to a new blogging tool soon.

Wordpress! It rocks. So long as your host supports PHP and MySQL then it’s the only way to go.

Yeah - just these last few days I’ve been playing with WordPress… I’ve just given up on waiting for Blogger to add ‘categories’ to their tools :P

What’s going on around here? Is this WordPress I see? Or something else? Do tell.

Yes! This is WordPress. I gave my website guru the go-ahead last night, and she switched it over faster than lightning. I’m still trying to fix little things here and there while I learn how to use this new system, but it’s getting there.

about this blog

It’s the spark of an idea that hits me unexpectedly. It’s the silly wonderings I have after a whirlwind of thoughts. It’s about creativity, inspiration, and imagination. But sometimes, it’s just about eating noodles.
