Practically imperfect in every way. Start with a lot of silliness. Mix in some insecurities and a handful of awkwardness. Add a pound of naivety, innocence, and child-like wonderings. Blend well. Half-bake and top off with a sprinkle of imagination and dollop of dreams. It’s the recipe for me!

When did soccer become such a big sport? Okay, I know in OTHER countries soccer is pretty big. But I’ve never known it to be a big deal in the US. I’m not even sure we had a soccer team when I was in high school.
I know that soccer’s popularity has grown over the years. Grown a lot. In fact, it seems like soccer is the first organized sport children play these days. Not so in my day. Now suddenly adults are watching soccer. And talking about soccer. And… playing soccer?
I feel so out of the loop. Not that I need to be in the loop, but I would to have at least known about the loop.
I feel very out of the loop when it comes to any sport… but I’m glad soccer is gaining popularity - when I was in high school, soccer was, hands down, the sport I had the most respect for.
90% of all the football players I knew were just lazy bastards… and 90% of the soccer players I knew were hard core athletic.
I think I was going somewhere else with this comment - but I forgot ![]()
High time you people caught up! Football (as I think you’ll find it is really called) is AWESOME!
Don’t worry too much. It’s not much of a loop. It’s the World Cup. All the papers and sports channels are required to cover it because it is the biggest sporting event in the world (even bigger than the summer Olympics–that’s right). But once the World Cup is over, people here in America will go back to not knowing about, talking about, or having anything to do with soccer. I do a bit because my best friend is French. She also forces me to know what’s going on with Formula One racing. Damn Europeans.
It’s the spark of an idea that hits me unexpectedly. It’s the silly wonderings I have after a whirlwind of thoughts. It’s about creativity, inspiration, and imagination. But sometimes, it’s just about eating noodles.
