Practically imperfect in every way. Start with a lot of silliness. Mix in some insecurities and a handful of awkwardness. Add a pound of naivety, innocence, and child-like wonderings. Blend well. Half-bake and top off with a sprinkle of imagination and dollop of dreams. It’s the recipe for me!

"I personally believe that U.S. Americans are unable to do so because, uh, some people out there in our nation don't have maps. And I believe that our education like, such as South Africa, and, the Iraq, everywhere like such as. And I believe that they should, our education over here in the U.S. should help the U.S., or should help South Africa, and should help the Iraq and the Asian countries, so we will be able to build up our future for our children."

Michigan’s unemployment rate is one of the worst in the nation right now. It’s never really concerned me much, since Rob doesn’t work for the auto industry. His job is safe. Or so we thought.
There’s been buzz about a change coming soon. We’ve talked about what could happen, and what was likely to happen. Today, an announcement was made.

I’m not an alarmist, so I can’t say what this means for us yet. But the possibility of a move out of state just got bigger. I’d prefer to stay where we are of course, but the “other state” doesn’t look too bad.
Then again, maybe this could be an opportunity for us to do something crazy and unexpected.
Do you mean that you might move to New York? Interesting. Have you looked into homeschooling there? If I remember correctly from that article/blog I emailed you a while back, New York has some of the most strict regulations for homeschooling.
I seem to remember New York being very strict with homeschoolers too. Fortunately, “the other state” isn’t New York in this case, but Missouri. (I know, that article is misleading.) Missouri’s homeschooling laws seem very much like the Michigan laws.
We have neighbors who moved here from the Kansas City, MO, area a couple of years ago. They home schooled their two kids. I get the feeling that they were involved in a home schooling community (and I don’t think they were super religious). If you are moving to that part of MO, I could ask them about some of the resources they used… if you’re interested. ![]()
It looks like a move would put us at the opposite side of the state, but I just may be interested in those resources anyway, should we move there.
It’s the spark of an idea that hits me unexpectedly. It’s the silly wonderings I have after a whirlwind of thoughts. It’s about creativity, inspiration, and imagination. But sometimes, it’s just about eating noodles.
